The opportunity has arisen to search 85+ acres of cultivated mud within a stones throw of Salisbury city centre (if you can throw a stone a mile!).
As such it is an “Open Dig” for all.
Price per person is £20 with detecting 9.00am until 6.00pm after a briefing at 8.50am.

There is a prize for coin & artefact of the day.
There is a lot of history nearby, the field is bordered by an old drovers track, there are Roman roads and Scheduled Ancient monuments within a mile of the field.
Exact location will be added nearer the time. This oil is fairly close!

Well its nearly harvest so time for an update!!
We are waiting for this beast to start rolling round the fields! The Oilseed Rape will get desiccated this week then 10-14 days later harvested, then on to wheat and linseed finally beans will come in.
And its all going a bit quiet as crops grow on and the livestock enjoys the sunshine.
Club Digs will go on the back burner unless anyone wants too…………………………
