Scrap bins will be provided and MUST be used.
First Aid, Finds photography and a finds display case will be at the checkpoint.
There is a prize for coin & artefact of the day.
Parking is on hard standing and there are toilets on site.
There is a lot of history nearby, the fields are bordered by the Ryknield Way, there are Roman roads and a Scheduled Ancient monument sits in one of the fields, bordered by a moat.
We have visited portions of the site previously, with finds ranging from Bronze Age to Victorian. This is the first time the whole site has been available.
The landowner splits the money between the local Youth rugby & Scouts so the more the merrier!
